Topic: How to Return to Art After a Tragedy
Points of Interest:
John recently lost a close loved one, something many (if not most) people can relate to. He spends the duration of this episode discussing some concrete strategies for getting back into the swing of art after a tragedy:
-Acknowledge that you can only control your own response and actions.
-Bring a sketchbook with you everywhere.
-Lean on those around you. Allow yourself to be vulnerable.
-If you feel like you can’t create art, perhaps you’re not allowing yourself to fully feel the emotions you’re experiencing!
-Give yourself a break, but don’t allow yourself to give up. Continue to do something.
