New Printable Color Charts

Show Notes:

New Printable Color Charts

314 - New Printable Colored Pencil Color Charts

This week John and Barb are talking a brand new printable colored pencil charts! This is a valuable resource to help colored pencil artists create swatches of all the colors for all their pencils!

Barb is the creator of these printable charts. She created them due to an outpouring of requests from listeners and readers of her blog.

What makes these charts so different from any you may already be familiar with is their beautiful design and the valuable information provided in the chart!

Each chart provides a quick reference to the color, the lightfast rating, and the name and number designation.

No more dealing with a separate “test” sheet of paper to try and figure out the color moments before you begin using the pencil. Instead, once you’ve completed your chart you’re able to refer back to it year after year.

The special listener coupon code is:   sharpart20

to get 20% off the single charts.

The charts are available at: https://payhip.com/BarbSotiArt?af=af60da3dce31c55

Art Show Rejection

312 Art Show Rejection.png

Show Notes:

Art Show Rejection

312 - Art Show Rejection

This week John and Barb are talking about a prevalent phenomenon in the Art world if you submit your work to shows and competitions. Namely, rejection!

Don’t let it define or defeat you! It might mean that you should level up in your skill or technique. Or it most likely means nothing at all.

A contest with one judge or juror is just one person’s opinion. That’s all. A show with more than one is more than one opinion. That’s all.

Note: This episode was recorded prior to the CPSA’s 2021 exhibition announcement of awards.

BONUS Video Available - Barb and John recorded a separate, “Frist Impressions” show (inside Members Circle) discussing the winning artwork from the 2021 CPSA’s exhibition.
