Giddy says she thinks of her pencils as a tube a paint while she creating her artwork on canvas. Giddy is a self-proclaimed purist in colored pencil.

This week John is talking to the CPSA’s 2021 International Exhibition winner of the CIPPY Award, Todd Baxter!

Todd has been teaching colored pencil and oil painting for several years. He’s mostly drawn to portraits but also works in landscapes and still life. Todd shares the story behind his award-winning piece, “Unlikely Champion” in this interview.
