This week John interviews artist and author, Denise Howard. Denise has always treated her art business as her “other career” and not a hobby.

Denise is the current communications director of the national CPSA and will be assuming the role of CPSA president later in 2022.
In the show, you'll discover why she went out of her way to avoid art shops while working in her IT jobs. Even going so far as to cross a street to avoid an art store!

Materials that Denise uses:
Pencils and pens: Prismacolor Premier, Caran d'Ache Luminance, and Derwent Lightfast.
Paper: Some of the papers that Denise uses are Stonehenge by Legion Paper, Koh-I-Noor Colored Pencil Paper, UART 600 grade and others.
An electric pencil sharpener: Although we didn’t discuss specific
sharpeners on the show a good recommendation is the Afmat electric sharpener.
